Introducing our new 'Get to Know the Brand' Feature Series
In the ever evolving world of branding and culture farming, brand development has taken a sophisticated turn where elevated grooming requires one to "level- up" in order to harness loyal and unwavering brand support. A huge reason why we at BeWea got in business was because we wanted to be the mini mic, with loud speaker impact for many small brands but at the heart of it, a home for small local companies that are woman owned. And while we love all of our brands equally, we put focus on women owned brands because we're truly living in a renaissance of times with all these amazing female owned startups.
It's a fun seat to sit in, watching these home grown brands turn into house-hold names and globally recognized brands in the span of their brand life ( hopefully for many decades) and in our generational frame of reference. Now I've aged my self with that statement as it may lend suspicion to suggest that I've lived through the times of: cassette tapes to CDs, to Mp3 and now to live streaming. If you're reading this and cannot identify with that ... well enjoy your twenties because I'm sure theres a lot more for us to unpack where you'll one day be slapping your knee, laughing at the inevitably antiquated technology of live streaming.
As we find ourselves living in an age of female founded enterprises, it can be an intimidating place amidst the starters big brands like: Bumble, Glossier and Mejuri - to name a few. As we've heard these names crawl into our daily conversations to becoming the "IT" brand in dating apps, consumer led beauty products and cult like followed fashion jewelry brands, anything online has the potential to catch like wildfire in a dry forest. Now here's the part were we give a leg up spotlight and boost these young, female founded brands that are up and coming and ones that are inspiring us to take more steps into discovering new small brands.
